The Cooks and the Phillips travelled to Tampa for the big RV show. As luck would have it, the Smith’s (James and Gail) were there as well. They also ran into the Bayless’s.
Driving these big motor homes is difficult and many people downsize their rigs. The Cooks and Phillips took advantage of the RV show and downsized to a Cricket. They also took the Smiths for a ride. Now they fit into the smallest RV sites!
Actually the Cricket is a cool little electric cart that fits in the back of many SUVs. Great for those huge RV shows as well as getting around the largest RV Park.

“Aww – Spring! Winter is in our rear-view mirror and it’s time to plan our summer outings. As more and more people are purchasing RV’s, there are increasing difficulties finding available openings at RV parks – be it for overnight stays or longer durations. The difficulties intensify over the summer and holidays. The Traveling Supremes have a jam-packed summer schedule of Gatherings and Tag-Alongs. Spaces have been set aside at each of the parks where we plan to stay. But – these spaces are limited and availability will terminate about a month before the scheduled event. So, act now! Check out the “Future Rallies” section of TravelingSupremes.com for details on reservations. Make your reservation and join us in the summer fun.
Our summer will fly by and before we realize it, Fall will be upon us. In October, James and Gail Smith will be hosting our annual Traveling Supremes Business Meeting. This is an event that is important to attend as well as one that is always packed with things to do. And, of course, there’s always YUMMY FOOD!
We don’t yet have hosts for the 2018/19 New Year’s Rally. Suggestions for places and parks might include Stella Mare RV Resort, a new park in Galveston; Johnson Creek RV Resort in Ingram; The Vineyards at Fredericksburg RV Park in Fredericksburg; Judge Felix Poche Plantation RV Park in Convent, LA; Poche’s RV Park and Fish-N-Camp in Breaux Bridge, LA. These are only a few possibilities to stimulate ideas! In order for us to have this popular event, it is necessary for someone to step forward to host. No Volunteers = No New Year’s Rally. Call, text or email me and volunteer. The Club needs you!”
This is the week of the FMCA big rally in Perry, GA. Rumors has it there are some 2,700 coaches parked on the grounds! Fortunately, Les and Ida Cook are proudly representing our club at the rally. Parked with the Entegra owner’s group. Rumor has it the Phillips are there too!

Ted and I left Alabama last Friday afternoon. We spent that night in Mississippi and then two nights in West Monroe, Louisiana at our friends’ (Polk and Linda) home on their RV pad! On Monday we arrived in Onalaska, Texas with 12 other Traveling Supreme rigs! On Monday we had a group dinner, Tuesday we had lunch at Manny’s Shrimp Boat and then went to a very cool rock shop! Wednesday we had a member give a really interesting presentation on metal detecting, along with a boat ride on a pontoon boat for all interested members and another great meal fixed by our hosts! Today we headed to a Texas prison museum. It was very interesting and there are pictures of the great things the prisoners are capable of making.
Next stop was lunch at the Farmhouse Cafe! They have yummy dinner rolls and cornbread. Ted and I had salads and shared banana pudding pie! From there we went to the Sam Houston Museum. Our tour guide had tons of amusing anecdotes. A fun day, followed by a light supper at the clubhouse! Tomorrow we all head out for other adventures! Thank you Deanne and David Phillips, our great wagon masters!
