New Year Rally!

Hello Supremes, we have a time and place for our annual New Year’s gathering! We will be at the Colfax Recreation Area RV park and Campground. ‎The dates are: check in – Dec. 28th and check out – Jan. 2nd 2021. Call the park at 318-627-2640 and talk to Nolan. As always, be sure to tell them that you are with the Traveling Supremes. The good news is that they honor the National Park senior pass known as Golden age or America the Beautiful Senior pass. Full price is $35.34 per night and $17.67 with the senior pass. Price includes tax. More info later. A special thanks to Linda Brian for her help!

Jim has reserved sites and they were placed on his credit card so if you are planning on going, please call early and secure your site. Many of us camp there several times throughout the year and enjoy the building which faces the Red River. The town is small but close to Natchitoches and Alexandria.  Plans are being made to secure a tour of the Locks and Dam located behind the park and for the Kent House located in Alexandria.  I’m looking at a few other options in the area so we hope to have some fun with our special New Year’s Day meal.

Again, a special thanks to Jim Hoover for securing the location.

New Years Update

Hello Supremes,

Mark your calendars. We will be celebrating the arrival of 2020 with a gathering in Gladewater Texas at the Antique Capital RV‎ park. The official dates will be December 29th thru January. 2nd. Your hosts will be Jerry and Hessie Smith. Co hosts will be Jim and Tina Hoover.

To celebrate the new year we will be attending a music show at the rally hall featuring Dale Cummins who performs 50s, 60s and 70s music. Dinner will be served before the show. Here is a link to Dale’s website, https://thecdale.webs.com, or simply click here.

You can make your site reservation now by calling 903-845-7378. They have started a folder for this event so be sure to tell them you are with the Traveling Supremes. There are 15 sites blocked off for us and we need to fill at least 10 of them to have use of the hall on the other nights for cards, dominoes or pot lucks. Tickets for the show aren’t being sold just yet but aren’t expected to be very expensive. ‎They will notify us when we can buy those tickets.

One last thought. Gladewater is about 60 miles from Canton TX. First Monday is January 6th so the weekend is the 4th and 5th. Possible tag along to the flea market? Maybe. Let me know if anyone might like to do that.

Vaya Con Dios Amigos!
