Well, another Arizona tag along is in the books. Five rigs camped at Black Rock RV in Brenda Arizona. Brenda is located just off I 10 about 12 miles east of Quartzsite. Those who attended were the Kerchers, Hoover’s, Marrs, Merriman, and Stowes.
We started out in Brenda Arizona at Black Rock RV. Brenda is about 12 miles East of Quartzsite where the annual RV show is held. The show went on despite covid, but the crowds were way down. The plus side was that parking was a lot easier than usual.
While we were there, something unusual happened. It rained! Actually it rained a lot. So much that on the last day of the show, the big tent got flooded! I didn’t know it even rained in the desert!
After the show ended in Quartzsite, three rigs headed down to Yuma Arizona. Those rigs were the Kerchers, Hoovers, and Merriman. We stayed at West Wind RV and golf resort.
Southern Arizona is a popular destination for snow birds and Yuma is no exception. This year however, due to covid, there weren’t as many. For one thing, the Canadians were not able to come down due to travel restrictions. We enjoyed some food and fellowship, as well as the flea market. We enjoyed about 5 days there and headed for home.
