I hope that everyone is staying well during these trying times. I don’t think that many of us are used to staying home this much. We didn’t get to have the gathering in Elephant Butte due to the virus so we are ready to go camping! Chama is next!
Sky Mountain in Chama opened up on May 15th and I spoke with Bill this morning and he told me that they were open for full ocupancy but with some “social distancing”adjustments. The Bath house is closed, laundry is closed for the moment and only one person (with mask) allowed in the office at a time. Pretty much the same things we are doing in our own locations. He did advise that if you have reservations, you should call or email to confirm that you are coming. If you do not have reservations you need to contact them to see what they can do as August is pretty well booked. The official dates for the Chama gathering is August 17th to 21st but just come when you can.
Also, I just set the date for our fall business meeting for October 26th (check in) to the 30th check out in Nakatosh campground in historic Natchitoches Louisiana. You can call Amy at 318-471-7147between 7:30 and 3:00. The group rate is $27.86 per night. As always please tell her that you are with the Traveling Supremes. Also note that number may be different than what is in you campground guide or online.I am also thinking about a tag along to Yuma again in January 2021.
