Finding a used Travel Supreme

We all know the quality that Travel Supreme put into their trailers and motor homes. There even is a while Facebook Group devoted to current TS owners. So it is no surprise that we get periodic request for people trying to find a used TS. So when I saw a nice looking 2005 Select with a for sale sign in the Spokane area I thought I would post it here.

Contact the owner for any further info, we make no claim to the condition this coach is in. We do know it is a 2005 TS Select, 500hp Cummins, had the factory X bracing, and has about 65,000 miles. Other than that contact the owner Ken, number in the pictures.

Business meeting

From Linda Brian

TS Members, I’m getting more excited about the North Louisiana “Southern Pride” Business Meeting to be held at Lincoln Park, Ruston, Louisiana for September 23rd to 27th. But before you come to North Louisiana, don’t forget we have two other gatherings, Buena Vista for July 21-26 and Chama on August 18-25th. Check the web page for details.

Now for info about the NL “Southern Pride” Business Meeting, don’t shy away because you think it is just a business meeting, you’ll be disappointed. I want to encourage you to go ahead and call for your reservations early (318-251-5156). You will not be given a site number but when you arrive you pick out the site you want and park. Most all sites are easily accessible to the club house.

This is a rally that is hosted by your executive committee. You will be served a welcome meal, two breakfasts and desserts on two other evenings. We will eat as a group at an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet with a senior discount and we’ll meet at an Italian Restaurant for a group meal which is across the street from Miss Kays’s (of Duck Dynasty) bakery. You’ll have options of several tours in three cities, Ruston, Monroe and West Monroe. We’ll have a few guest speakers through the week and you’ll learn why so many people are proud to be from North Louisiana. You’ll learn about some of the well known people from the area including a visit to Duck Dynasty. Our decorations and meals will reflect the culture of the area and that is not South Louisiana culture or dishes, I’m talking about North Louisiana pride, country food.

So mark your calendars now with the date and call to register. Tell them you are with the Traveling Supremes. Hope to see you in September in Ruston. Linda Brian

New Orleans tag along

James and Gail Smith and Ted and Susan Kercher are heading to New Orleans after the General Meeting in Ruston, Louisiana. We leave Ruston on the 27th of September and stay somewhere in between and arrive in New Orleans on the 28th.

We are going to stay at Pontchartrain Landing, the address is 6001 France Road, New Orleans. Their phone number is 877-376-7850. It’s $61 per night (pull through full hook up site) and is paid in full at time of reservation. It is NONREFUNDABLE unless you pay a 10% trip cancellation charge. We are staying 3 nights, leaving on October 1st.

The campground is 12 minutes from the French Quarter and right on the water. They have a shuttle to town for $6 per day per person. There is a bar and grill on site with live music and BBQ and local cuisine.

This is a tag-a-long and there are lots of things to do in the area, but there will not be any planned activities arranged in advance. If you have nothing planned after the General Business, plan to join us in New Orleans!
