Despite the exhaustive pace of Day 2, Day 3 didn’t let up at all. We gathered at 9:30 and drove off to our first event, a bus tour of Fort Worth. As usual, Gail did an excellent job of setting things up. We had a nice bus and an excellent tour of Fort Worth. I don’t think there was anyone on the tour that didn’t learn something!
It culminated with a short visit to the Fort Worth Stockyards where we witnessed the daily Cattle Drive. Those long horns really live up to their name!
Lunch was at Joe T Garcia, Ft. Worth’s iconic TexMex restaurant. If memory serves, most everyone walked off holding a box of leftovers for another full meal. Delicious!
