After an exhaustive day of conducting business affairs, we decided to take some time off. And Gail did an outstanding job of setting up activities. First, a stop at the Weatherford Farmers Market gave us an opportunity to buy some fresh veggies. And check out the pumpkins and other fall indications. Then we walked across to the Vintage Car Museum, where we checked out some interesting cars. Not only for the cars themselves, but most had an interesting history (like Aretha Franklin’s Cadillac and Lyndon Johnson’s Lincoln).
This worked up quite an appetite, so off the Boo Rays Cajun restaurant. Made us think we were in Louisiana! We obviously needed to walk this off, so we went to the Chandor Gardens. These were the gardens designed and built by one of the greatest US portrait painters. A very interesting walk, and tour of the house.
Then back to the campground where we gathered and once again discussed the state of the world. Then off to bed, to get ready for day 3 (and hoping the rain stays away)….
Y’all look great, the gardens beautiful…looks like a great time!
