The Laningas left last week to meet other obligations, John Brandon left a few days ago, but the Smiths (Jerry and Hessie) joined us.  We enjoyed the Fourth festivities in Buena Vista, where we positioned ourselves near the Grace Church.  The Smiths and Butauds attended the patriotic concert following the parade, held in the Grace Church.  Also on display were quilts made by members of the Grace Church in honor of veterans. The “quilters” of BV have now made and donated about 1,000 quilts to veterans.
